What’s a Flight Review
A Flight Review, commonly known as a Biennial Flight Review (BFR), is a required evaluation of a pilot's flying proficiency and knowledge, mandated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) every two years.
The primary goal of this review is to ensure that pilots maintain the skills and knowledge necessary to operate aircraft safely and meet FAA standards. The review, conducted by a qualified instructor, covers essential topics such as aircraft handling, emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance.

What to Expect
A Flight Review, required by the FAA every 24 calendar months, is a comprehensive evaluation of a pilot's knowledge and skills to ensure they are operating safely and proficiently. The review includes both a ground and a flight portion.

During the ground portion, you'll be assessed on your understanding of key topics such as Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), aeronautical science, weather, and airspace rules. This portion ensures that you are up to date on the legal and theoretical aspects of aviation.
In the flight portion, you'll demonstrate your ability to perform both standard and advanced flight maneuvers, such as steep turns and stalls. You'll also be evaluated on your decision-making skills and reactions in simulated emergency scenarios, which test your ability to handle high-stress situations safely and effectively.

Completing a Flight Review is an excellent opportunity to refresh and refine your flying skills, ensuring you maintain a high level of safety and proficiency while staying current with FAA regulations.
