Start Flight Training
Starting your Instrument Rating journey is an exciting milestone in your pilot training. At ATA Flight School, you’ll be paired with a Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) specializing in instrument flight training. This phase involves honing your ability to fly using only instruments, enhancing your skills in navigation, instrument approaches, and holding patterns.

To meet the FAA requirements, you’ll log a minimum of 50 hours of cross-country flight time as Pilot in Command (PIC), along with 40 hours of instrument training.
